Dr. Joon Kim

Meet Dr Joon Kim :

DOCTOR OF PODIATRIC MEDICINE

Dr. Joon Kim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University
of Florida. After a couple of years in the tech industry, he found out that his main interest is in
medicine and helping others. Dr. Kim graduated with honors from Kent State University College
of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. During his time there, Dr. Kim rotated through the Cleveland Clinic and learned tremendously from the mentors and peers. Dr. Kim was raised in Gainesville, Florida and he wanted to return to Florida for his residency. He completed a three- year podiatric medicine and surgery residency with added credential in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery here at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Dr. Kim served as chief  resident in his final year of training.

Dr. Kim is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and has published with ACFAS at a national conference. Dr. Kim is currently an active staff member at Mount Sinai Medical Center and part of the teaching staff. Dr. Kim has a special talent of using his formal education in Computer Science and applying it towards the biomechanics and movements involving the whole body with focus towards the foot and ankle.

My training focuses on Minimally Invasive Surgeries involving the foot and ankle.”
